Ok guess what?? I JUST FIGURED OUT HOW TO POST PICTURES ON DREAMWIDTH POST *victory pose*
Took me quite a while but I finally finished Liar Game! It was a great manga >v<
I sometimes wonder if Nao is similar to me, but no. I'm not as nice as she is, and I don't think I'm as gullible as well (well my brain might be as slow as hers though LOL).
"If you keep doubting people and searching what's inside them, sooner or later you're bound to understand something about them. And when you do, you'll be able to entrust something to them. This is what it means to trust and believe"
If I have to summarize what I learnt from Liar Game, this will be it~ >v<
Also, I've just learnt how to use a cut, so I'm gonna put all my thoughts and some maybe-spoiler pictures under the cut, and please do let me know your opinion of it if you don't mind~ I'm open for discussion both on the post layout and content >vo
To be honest, I feel SO disturbed looking at Nao at the beginning of the manga. "A weak gullible crybaby" was my impression on her. It's like, she said it herself that she couldn't let herself fall into a huge debt yet is still in doubt if she really wants to get the money that her ex-teacher stole from her and could only cry until Akiyama told her to stop. I wouldn't want to steal other people's money too, but you see, that money isn't something he got from his hardwork and he even tricked you. Having that done to me, there's NO WAY I would give that ex-teacher any mercy (Yes, I'm pretty mean when that moment has hit me, which is why I can't be Nao XD).
The same happened during the first revival game. She was driven into the corner by Fukunaga, got tricked, yet ended up crying until Akiyama came. Of course I won't be able to come up with a brilliant plan like Akiyama, but I won't just sit around and cry...like, I'll turn those sadness into a motivation for revenge. Though yes, I do admit that I will definitely need some time to calm myself down and let everything out XD
That said, my opinion changed the very next chapter. I thought she would never agree with Akiyama's plan to trick Fukunaga, yet she actually agreed and put up a convincing act! And right after the revival round, Akiyama's word really struck Nao, and also me as I've never seen 'doubt' and 'trust' that way.
"Doubt them, question them, suspect them, and take a good, long look into their heart."

And from this point on, I really love how the manga pictures Nao's development. They didn't try to completely flip her angelic character into a devilish one, yet instead keep her angelic character while polishing her observation skill. They completely turn her from a naive crybaby into an observant ally who gives a thorough thought on people's action and behavior before falling into despair or feeling betrayed. Even when Akiyama thought that she'd feel betrayed by his action in one of the rounds, she considered things from Akiyama's point of view, taking into account what the advantages/disadvantages of his action gave before drawing a conclusion on whether or not Akiyama betrayed her. Her development is A+++!
That said, my favorite character is none other than FUKUNAGA!!! I really love how she's always so tired talking to Nao, yet still ended up helping her and cleaning her mess XD
During the mock round that Nao took part on, she was like "WHY DID YOU...nah, it's nothing. This is just a mock game, so have fun"

And this last scene of Fukunaga LOL

LOVE LIAR GAME SO MUCH! >v<
